On October 5th, at approximately 12:07 a.m., a 2003 White Chevrolet 1500 HD Pick Up was stolen from A & B Construction, located at 494 SW Dortch Street. This vehicle has a dent in the left rear quarter panel and has two tool boxes in the bed of the truck (one white and one diamond plate). The vehicle shown below is similar to the stolen vehicle.

Since early 2011, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office and the Lake City Police Department have investigated a series of catalytic convertor thefts from motor vehicles. The convertors are sold for their scrap metal content, and since the beginning of this year, over 60 convertors have been reported stolen. Most of these crimes have involved the suspect(s) cutting away the convertor from the vehicle while parked. These crimes have occurred in public parking lots, car lots, maintenance vehicle yards, and mechanic shops. The cost to the vehicle owner for replacement can range into hundreds of dollars. On 9/20/10, a white bulldog with brown brindle patches was stolen from the area of SR 242, east of Branford Highway. The dog is 6 years of age and answers to the name "Gidget."

You will remain anonymous! Columbia County Sheriff's deputies are looking for three men wanted in a home invasion robbery Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Investigators said the men were wearing ski masks and armed with handguns when they entered the home in the 100 block of Southeast Happy Valley Glen in High Springs at about 11:45 p.m. The two occupants of the home were accosted by the men and ordered to hand over their money. Both victims were struck in the head with a handgun, causing lacerations. The men fled the home in an unknown direction, stealing money, cell phones, and a Sony PlayStation. The men are all described as black. One suspect is described as 5' 7" to 5' 9" tall and heavy set, weighing 230 to 260 pounds. Another suspect is described as 6' tall, weighing between 150 and 180 pounds, thin build and has dreadlocks. There is no description of the third suspect. On the approximate date of April 2, 2010, three (3) cross-bred steers, weighing 800 pounds each, color unknown, were stolen from South Columbia County. There is a brand located on the left ribs or on the left hip of each steer. The brand is H K with a rocker underneath. On Sunday, March 7, 2010, shortly after 8:00 p.m., two white males backed in a newer model white Volvo 670 or 770 truck and 53' utility refrigerated trailer up to Nextran of Lake City. Subject 1 climbed the fence and burglarized 6 customer trucks while subject 2 stayed with the truck. After the burglary, the truck got onto Interstate 75 and went north from Lake City.
